This problem might be related to your Server Configuration. There might be a security setting preventing some of the options to be saved.

Moreover, there might be some third party plugin generating a JavasCript Error in the backend and preventing other part from working correctly. To eliminate this option ensure no JavaScript Error is present in the Error Console when you use Developer Tools of modern browsers like Chrome, FireFox, etc.. Also try deactivating all third-party plugins too see if the problem persists.

If the problem does not get solved please provide a link to your page and create an admin account for us. You can use hello@ishyoboy.com to automatically send the credentials after creation. Make sure to tick this option upon user creation.

We can then log-in and check what might be going on.

This problem seems to be related to the security configuration of your server.

It seems that the <script> strings are not allowed to be present in the “data” value for an ajax request. It is closely connected to your server configuration as there are more than 2400 install of our themes where everything is working without problem.

Please try to contact the hosting provider’s support as they should be able to help you allow such requests and avoid all “workaround” steps below.

How to fix this problem:

First of all, please make all suggested changes via child theme so that your changes will not be lost during the next theme update. If you are new to Child Themes. We have provided a starter Child Theme along with the Theme so you can use it to make the changes we suggest.

The problem are all fields containing <script> string. So these might be the:

1. “Theme Options” -> “General Options” -> “Tracking Code”
2. “Theme Options” -> “General Options” -> “Social Sharing Code”

1. “Tracking Code” – Used for Google Analytics
The analytics script can be entered in the “footer.php” file after the line:

Please copy the “footer.php” file from the theme root folder into the root folder of your Child Theme. Now edit the child theme’s file and paste the necessary Google Analytics code in it.

2. “Social Sharing Code”
The social sharing code should be entered by overriding 2 functions in the “functions.php” of your child theme. The original functions are available in the file:

Themes: Boldial, Leepho, NO8
assets/framework/wp/options/custom-functions.php

The both functions’ code is something like:

You should copy it and paste it in your child theme’s functions.php file and amend the functions to look like:

Once all changes are done make sure to upload your Child Theme to your server and activate it. Your changes will now be used. Now just empty the fields in the Theme Options which contain <script> string
