It appears in the Theme Options that the green one is selected and the colors look right, but when I view the site it is still brown. I am able to change the Boxed/Unboxed option, but that is it.

Can we change the skin on your site? Because changing the skin will reset all your currently defined settings. ( Colors, Patterns, Fonts and Boxed Layout options )

It seems, the problem comes from the server configuration. WordPress cannot access the wp-uploads folder to overwrite the already generated CSS file with the colors.

Please contact your hosting administrator to set the rights correctly so that WP can access and work with the directory without a problem.

If you try to install any plugin, WordPress asks for FTP credentials and this is exactly because of that.
