Following a live example of how to build certain pages might save 1000 questions (mainly from me!) about certain topics, such as setting up Portfolio pages with categories and all that jazz.

Just a thought, if you’ve not got any vids expect 1000 questions on Portfolio’s soon!

We have thought about that, but creating a “Portfolio” item and assigning categories is the natural WordPress way (the same way as in a Blog post).

To then use it in a page it’s only the [portfolio] shortcode, which has a great amount of customization attributes, which are very well described in the documentation. So we think 10 minutes are enough for you to get into it. Of course you need to try it an play with it a little..

Create 5 Portfolio Items. Assign Featured Image, Gallery Images, Title, Content, Categories and then create a page and put the [portfolio] shortcode from the buttons in visual Editor. The attributes are already there so play with them.

I’m a new user of wordpress themes and I don’t have a clue how to make my layout look like the demo in ‘live view’. I don’t know how to divide the page or what to apply to get certain effects.
I would love to have a tutorial that visually explains me how to get up and going with your theme and it’s myriad of functionalities.

I really like the theme and many functions are nice to have, but I’m not using it now because I don’t know where to start.

We really don’t plan video tutorials for our old themes. Maybe for new one we could think about it.

What we suggest to you is to import demo content which is included in each of our theme and have a look at existing pages and how everything is created. That’s the best way to see how things work and how easy it is for you to create your own layouts.
