Hi,

The latest version we provide is included in the files you can download from ThemeForest. Just un-zip them and read Layer Slider’s documentation.

Our steps are:
1. Deactivate the active plugin
2. Delete the plugin
3. Upload the newest plugin from Theme Files
4. Re-activate the plugin

Sometimes a newer version might be available than the one provided in the latest Theme Files. If this is the case, just request it from us and we will provide it via e-mail.

P.S. Unless there is a serious security issue we do not release a special update because of the new versions of attached plugins. We update them when we release a new Theme Update to their latest version at that time.

Today I just download a fresh copy of the theme from themeforest (full zip file). Re-installed the Layer Slider plugin.

I am still getting the same error: You need to authorize this site in order to get upgrades or support for this plugin.

Let me know what am I suppose to do.

I guess this is not an error but a notification only. Isn’t there a button to “close” it?

The LayerSlider plugin has a built in functionality to automatically check for new versions and updates. This is meant for users who have purchased the plugin as a separate product and not bundled with a theme. So the plugin displays a message to you in case you have not registered it.

In case you want this feature to work, you need to purchase a separate licence for the plugin only and then use the purchase key to activate it. This is however necessary as you can always update it to the next version whenever you get a theme update.

No there is no close button.

No I dnt wish to purchase a separate licence for the plugin.

Thank you very much. Please add this to the “functions.php” file of your child theme:

// Override some LayerSlider data
add_action('layerslider_ready', 'my_layerslider_overrides');
function my_layerslider_overrides() {
    // Disable Plugins Notification
    $GLOBALS['lsAutoUpdateBox'] = false;
}

// Override some LayerSlider data

add_action('layerslider_ready', 'my_layerslider_overrides');

function my_layerslider_overrides() {

// Disable Plugins Notification

$GLOBALS['lsAutoUpdateBox'] = false;

}

It will hide the message.
