Update of embedded VisualComposer plugin

Hi,

our monitoring is complaining about an outdated plugin js_composer what would be available now in version 4.9.1:

Need attention! Core is up-to-date. - 1 plugin is out-of-date! -
Themes are up-to-date.|js_composer:  -> 4.9.1;

When we login to the wordpress backend we can see one available update. After opening the update or plugins page this information is gone.

We investigated and this plugin is visual composer, embedded into the Boldial theme. Can you give us an ETA for an update of the theme including the updated visual composer?

Hi there,

Do you have Visual Composer installed as a stand alone plugin? When you view the list of available plugins, do you see “WPBakery Visual Composer” available in there?

If so then please remove this plugin as the theme will work as expected with the built in page builder.

The Embedded plugin will be updated with the next theme update, but since there are no critical/security fixes in the latest versions there is no need to update it as the update only fixed a few issues with the native VC elements, but the theme itself only uses the ones created by us.

Hello,

we did not purchase the WPBakery Visual Composer as standalone plugin and we do not have any other theme installed in that WordPress instance except Boldial.

Hey,

In this case please wait for the next theme update. It will include the latest Visual Composer along with a few fixes and updates. As mentioned earlier there is no ETA right now as there are no critical changes at the moment. The version of the used VC is working 100%.
