since a few days i cant use my wordpress. Because every time i will log in i get the “500 internal server error” :( Now i figured out that there is a problem with NO8 THeme. After i had deactivate the theme over FTP the wordpress admin dashboard is working after login. I have seen there is a update for yout theme. Now my question is how can i install it without losing all. I cant active the theme in the dashboard. If i do that, the dashboard doesnt work. I hope you can help me.

I updated the theme. But i cant activate it. If i try to activate, wordpress doesnt load it and after one minute i get an internal server Error.

I tryed the update with wordpess and also with FTP. Both doesnt work.

My current wordpress Version is 4.2.2

Im realy afraid, to lose all my content :(

Do you have Visual Composer plugin installed? If yes, then please remove it and then try to install the theme. Maybe you have an older version and the theme is not compatible with it anymore.

Were you able to remove the original theme and upload the newest version? What error do you get when you try to activate it?

Have you checked the PHP Error logs to see why this is happening?

In any case the content itself is separated from the theme so deleting the theme will not delete any of your content. But you should always back it up before updating. Only code changes you have manually done to the PHP or Javascript files will be deleted if they have been done directly to the parent theme.

Please let us know if you managed to get it running?

Does this happen only with our theme or with other themes as well? Seems like the error appears during the upload process which is really weird. Have you tried contacting your hosting provider guys?

Maybe try deactivating all plugins before the upload. Delete the old Ishyoboy NO8 Assets plugin as well.

But this seems to be related to the upload process itself? Maybe the file is too big for the upload maximum filesize of your server? In any case the hosting guys should be able to assist you.

yeah it was only happen with your theme.I never had that before.

I tried a lot of things, but at the end, i did a update of php version on the server and delete all other test themes and plugins. After that i installed your theme again. And its like magic, it works. So i’m happy, but no not really. I hoped to figure out what the problem was. But i don’t know. Hopefully it doesn’t come again.
