I have upload all the files along with the child themes on my server and also import the demo files
Issue… I am trying to create a homepage looking like thelarman.com, it becomes obvious to me that you have a better personal/portfolio theme bad for be.
Is it possible to cut out my design using the composer to center the pictures which is the link to another page.
I have used visual composer previously but for some reason the one in the No8 theme is a little different in terms of placing the picture frames where I want them and adjusting the margin and padding within.

The idea here is to create a layout just like thelarman.com

to create homepage as on the example page we would suggest to do a following steps:

1. create a new empty page
2. check “Show Custom Taglines” in “Custom Taglines” area to disable default taglines
3. insert first row of the page which will represent the top header part with centered headlines
4. insert another row with pure white background, and set it’s layout to 2 halfs
insert image shortcode into each of this columns and make it clickable (link it to your posts / pages)

PS: we’ve noticed that you use too big image for your header as a background. It is more than 4000px wide, and that’s causing very slow loading of the page. We suggest to make it smaller to eliminate long delays and faster loading time ;)

I am a little afraid we cannot completely get what you are trying to do. First of all you seem to have imported the demo data so give a little time in exploring the demo pages and how they were done. First check the front-end, which your visitors would see and then have a look at the back-end and maybe play with it too see how the front-end changes.

The rows in our themes have automatic margins to have a consistent structure which then changes in responsive mobile version. There are different types of rows:

Adjusting the margins and paddings can be done only via custom CSS.

To change the navigation, go to “Appearance” -> “Theme Options” – “Header Options” and there are its setting.

If you have too many items in the main level of navigation, so that they cannot fit, the navigation is automatically switched to a button.

NO8 is a very powerful theme giving you a great level of customisation we recommend exploring it and playing a little with it.
