I just recently opened up my Google Analytics account for my website. I checked the theme and was wondering if there’s an option to place the code or Transaction Id inside the template’s dashboard? I had other themes that had this option where I wouldn’t need to manually go into the editor.

If I do indeed need to go into the editor to add it, do I take the <script></script> that google gives me and place it within the <body></body> of the homepage?

Any helped is greatly appreciated. Thanks for you time!

Sure there is. In all our themes. Go to “Theme Options” -> “General Options” -> “Tracking Code”. The descriptions for the field is:

Paste your Google Analytics (or other) tracking code here. This will be added into the footer template of your theme.

Please make sure to explore all theme options so you know exactly what you can do with it ;)

Try using a plugin for this. They should always work. In the latest themes we have completely removed this field as plugins are a better way to embed Google Analytics. E.g.:

We’re using the analytics plugin or the analytics code on all our webs and live previews and it works like charm. We see no reason for it not to work.

Could you please share the URL of the page where the code is implemented. And please let us know how it is implemented (plugin or the custom code? we recommend the plugin). Also please notice that sometimes it takes up to 48 to see any results.

The only strange thing we see is that the code is present twice. I guess both from the plugin and the custom code. So try removing the custom code.

Apart from that all looks ok. Maybe check the settings in Google Analytics. See if the URL is correct, etc..

Not sure, what could be stopping it from working…
