This is quite a general question.. In short. Portfolio and Blog are two different parts of the website so they should also be visually different so the users know if they are in the Blog or portfolio section.

Secondly Blog is a built in WordPress functionality so it has some restrictions and portfolio is a custom post type the theme adds.

In general, yes it is possible to make the blog have the same layout. You just need to duplicate the code of the “portfolio” and then change it from custom Query to the standard WordPress query.

If you are familiar with how WordPress works and the terms above it should not be a hard task.

The portfolio template can be found in the theme plugin and more specifically in:
\ishyoboy-THEMENAME-assets\ishyoboy-shortcodes\assets\backend\vc_extend\shortcodes_templates\ish_portfolio.php

I have little use for portfolio pages so making blog posts appear different isn’t an issue for me and I would love to show off my posts with the some of the features portfolios receive.

I manage a number of sites and only recently started using your themes and so far have found them to be excellent, the page editing is one of the best I have come across. However because I manage a number of sites I am not keen to start hacking themes as it only stores up trouble for the future. So I beg that you consider adding the lovely portfolio features to regular posts in you future releases as I think it will only benefit future theme sales as well as encouraging me to keep buying your themes.
