When you try to move items from one row to another you get a weird error where it will not move it. It also makes a long column with stripes on it.

I have verified the issue by creating a local host, updating to 4.1 and putting a fresh install on.

I ran a test on only having visual composer installed with a basic theme and same issue occurs. Hope they get this fixed asap, would use caution on updating to 4.1 till VC gets this sorted and theme makers get the update into the theme.

Yes, you are right. It is a Visual Composer bug. We will shortly release fixes but the development is a little problematic in current environment. So please be patient. We are doing all we can do to have an update asap.

I updated the Bodial template as well as the “IshYoBoy Boldial Assets” plugin but the Visual Composer plugin still shows as 4.3.4.

Help from anyone is appreciated.

It appears to me that it is a highly customized version of VC. Basic plugins that install with the theme are IshYoboy Assets and Contact Form 7.

Basically to update I removed original theme and both plugins, then I uploaded the updated theme and put in the plugins the theme comes with – it prompts you to install these.

Following this step everything seems to be working great for me. However each site is different.

I was using a previous template that also “included” Visual Composer.
So maybe they installed it differently.

Anyway, after I deactivated the “WP Bakery Visual Composer” plugin everything seems to be working now.

Thanks @bhremm for the help. Yes that is correct. Our themes have the Visual Composer integrated as we have some fixes in place to ensure all our elements are working fine.

You have the ability to use Visual Composer as a separate plugin but you need to have it purchased. Although this might seem as a good idea, we do not recommend it as the latest version of the plugin might not be compatible with our theme.

So to sum it up. Just uninstall Visual Composer plugin, or deactivate it and all will be working perfectly.
