Front Page Not Displaying Properly

Hi, I am trying to change my front page to a static page. I have created two pages, one with the header banner and the other for the blogs and both pages display ok on their own, however when i go to my site I can only the first page with the header banner and the blogs are not appearing underneath. There must be something im missing as ive been stuck on this for hours!! Any help appreaciated.
