Portfolio Filter and Pagination

I have 30 items in my portfolio section which is available to view on home page.
I have a number of filters on display for portfolio categories.

However, 30 items on display is too much for one page so I have set to use pagination.
Problem with this is if I have 10 items on display on first paginated page, the filters will only pull items from the first page.

Is there a way to set the filters so they pull items from all pages if using pagination?
