Allowed Tags in Comments

Many of my comments include span and pre tags. Boldial appears to have stripped all of these span and pre tags from the comments. I suspect it has something to do with the $allowedposttags and $allowedtags global variables.

I have a backup of the WP tables so that’s not a concern, but I’d like to know how to stop Boldial stripping these tags in the first place.
