How to use a shortcode from a plugin in the theme

How to use the shortcode of any plugin with the theme inside a portfolio item, post or page? When I use it in the word editor, it works but as soon as I switch to page builder, it keeps it converting back to a text inside a row instead of considering it as shortcode. And due to that it stops working.
