Any shortcode for "Current Year" in footer?

Hi, I am trying to make a simple footer in the “Footer legals area”, like:

Content is copyright Acme Corp., 2014 – [currentyear].

Most themes have some way of automatically getting the current year so we don’t have to update this every year. What is your recommended method?
