Downloading demo data etc

Dear colleague,
I was able to download the demo data and other documents in the zip file but cannot open it. It defaults to I tunes to open it but nothing plays, I tried opening it in windows media player and get the following message- The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. It has an .xml extension but I can’t get it to play
