Recent Post Customization

Greetings.
Super frustrated with what should be a simple thing to change.
I am trying to remove the Like count, comment count and category from the recent posts page.
I have edited {child-theme}/ish-plugins/ishyoboy-shortcodes/assets/backend/vc_extend/shortcodes_templates/ish_recent_posts.php file and yet they are still showing up.
This is driving me nuts! I have removed all lines that have anything to do with the above mentioned items and they are still showing. Even flushed the cache on the host.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong so I can fix this simple issue.
