Removing Comments Section on Pages (tried other suggestions mentioned already)

Hello! One last question before I leave for vacation :) …

I noticed that when I switched themes, some existing “pages” have the comments section on them. I would like to remove them so I did a search and tried the things mentioned here (https://support.ishyoboy.com/forums/topic/home-page-comments-off/), however, the “Discussions” tab under settings only controls the ability to turn off comments on newly created pages, and I can’t seem to locate the “discussion” section when I edit the page itself. I do, however, see a section below the main content area titled “Comments”, but I don’t have the ability to turn them off here, only to add a new comment.

Am I overlooking something or are the options perhaps different with the Multicorp theme? (I noticed most of those who posted this question in the past were using Boldial.)
