Theme colours & Menus

I am using a personalised colour within the theme style options for the color1 option, is there a way of changing which colour option is used in the menu highlight system that isn’t color1? I’ve used a yellow as the color1 as a contrast to some of the dark background textures etc. but it is hard to read when its highlighted in the menus. If I alter the color1 option in theme options it will change all the text and page breaks I’ve set to be yellow which is A LOT to re edit! If I could just alter the menu colours separately that would be awesome! Can this be done somehow?
